That being said, many folks look out at an old, grey fence and believe that it’s reached its end. Often in these situations, the fence is salvageable at a much lower cost than tearing everything down and starting fresh.

That’s why, before we tear a fence down, we conduct a thorough investigation to see if it can be saved at a fraction of the cost to you. The process of rejuvenating an older, grey, or dark brown fence is remarkably similar to that of stripping and restaining floors indoors.

For this, we begin by pressure washing the fence, which cleans off the grey or dark brown exterior (just as sanding would). After this, we restain the fence, providing a freshly cleaned and bright exterior, ready to face years of use.

Should I repair my fence or replace it?
As a general rule, if more than 30% of the fence needs repair, replacing it is the more cost-effective choice. Plenty of grey, tired-looking fences are still sound underneath, so we check the posts, rails, and boards before anyone talks about tearing it out — and we’ll tell you honestly which one yours is.
Do you repair fences you didn’t build?
Yes. It doesn’t matter who put it up — another company, a previous owner, or a weekend project. We repair wood, vinyl, aluminum, and chain link fences whoever installed them.
Can you fix storm damage?
Yes. Leaning posts, broken boards, a section flattened by a fallen limb — we repair storm-damaged wood, vinyl, aluminum, and chain link fences. Two things to know: we don’t cut or remove trees, so the tree or limb needs to be off the fence before we come out; and we don’t handle insurance claims — we give you a free estimate for the repair, and it’s yours to use however you need.
Does it cost anything to have you come look?
No — estimates are free. We look at the fence, tell you whether it’s a repair or a replacement, and give you an estimate for the work. There’s no charge for the visit.
