My gate opener quit working. Can you fix it?
Yes — gate operators and access control are one of our service lines. The usual causes are power at the gate, a safety sensor knocked out of alignment, a damaged keypad, or a bent frame after something caught the gate. Tell us what it is doing, or send a photo of the gate and the opener, and we will come and look.
Can you automate a gate I already have?
Often, yes. It depends on the gate — its weight, whether it swings or slides, how level the driveway is at the opening, and whether there is power at the gate. An operator needs power; if there is none at the gate, that becomes part of the plan. We will look at what you have and tell you what it would take.
Is an automatic gate right for every driveway?
No, and we would rather say so at the estimate than afterwards. A steep or very short driveway apron, a narrow opening, no power nearby, or heavy shared traffic can each make an automatic gate the wrong answer and a well-built manual gate the right one. We will tell you which yours is.
What can go on the gate besides a remote?
Keypads, intercom and telephone entry, and the loop and safety sensors that come with an operator are all part of access control. Which suits you depends on who needs to get in — family only, a short-term rental, deliveries, or a commercial yard with staff coming and going. We will go through the options that fit your gate at the estimate.
Do you build the gate as well as the opener?
Both. We build chain link, ornamental, custom wood and vinyl gates, and farm and ranch gates, to match the fence they hang on. Estimates are free.
